1925. Based upon the foundation laid by William Smith; Edited and Brought Up-to-Date by F.N. Peloubet. Self-Pronouncing . 500 Illustrations and Maps. The purpose of this New Bible Dictionary is to bring to the great body of our Sunday School teachers, and intelligent Christian households, a Bible Dictionary fully abreast of the latest modern scholarship, giving them the things which will most aid them in their work but omitting long discussions and theories, and questions which are still in the melting pot, both for want of room, and because they can be discussed intelligently only by trained scholars.
