Floyd Edward Reinhardt was contemplating leaving his wife of twenty-three years and their six children when he learned the horrifying news from the car radio just as it was happening. Floyd Edward “Ed” Reinhardt and his wife Pat have four sons who played Division I football, John at Nebraska, Eddie and Tom at Colorado and Matthew at the University of Oregon in Eugene. The Reinhardt boys played in eight major bowl games, including a Rose Bowl. Paul side-stepped football and took up skiing. Their daughter, Rosemarie is a successful business woman in Denver.

For the past 25 years Eddie and his dad has traveled the country talking about the good that comes from tragedy and the importance of the influence of parents in the family. Eddie developed his talent to sing country music and his songs delight any audience. Ed and Pat Reinhardt live in Centennial, Colorado.
