The Ravioli Kid: An Original Spaghetti Western

The Ravioli Kid: An Original Spaghetti Western

By

In this uproarious picture book that cleverly parodies Sergio Leone's "spaghetti Western" films, the young heroine Stellina Pomodoro must save her parents' ristorante and the entire town of El Pasta from the evil "Anti-Pasta" gang. Kids will love this western-themed tale as they follow Stellina's courageous crusade to save her town from a gang of bandits.
"Stellina could not remember a time when the badlands were good. Each of the seven years she had lived there, something terrible had happened. Out of all the bad things that had happened in the badlands, it appeared seven was going to be her worst year yet. Seven was the year Angel Hair and his Gang of Anti-Pasta came to town. Angel Hair was as mean as he was bad. His long stringy hair was always sticking with the olive oil that oozed from this pitted complexion. He roamed the badlands with his cohorts Pucinella and Marinetti, the Gemelli twins. They found trouble wherever they looked."
Delightfully illustrated with frolicking prose, this book by the coauthor of How the West Was Worn offers a trip through western history and Italian culture. The book also features a brief history of the "spaghetti western" film genre.
