About Carol Orsborn

Carol Orsborn, Ph.D. (1948) is the author of over 30 books for and about the Boomer generation, spirituality and aging and quality of life, having appeared on Oprah, The Today Show and NBC Nightly News among others. Her most recent book "The Making of an Old Soul: Aging as the Fulfillment of Life's Promise" has won praise from James Hollis, Rami Shapiro and Andy Achenbaum, who called her book "A tour de force". The late Gail Sheehy, author of the classic text on adult development, "Passages." wrote that Carol's body of work on conscious aging is "The best I have ever read on this most significant passage."

During her long career as a life stage marketing expert, Dr. Orsborn co-founded Fleishman-Hillard's FH Boom, the first initiative by a global PR firm to help brands connect with the Boomer consumer. She co-authored the first book on marketing to Boomer women, providing her expertise to such clients as Ford, Humana and Prudential Annuities.

Dr. Orsborn lives on the Cumberland River with her husband in Madison, Tennessee. She is the mother of two and has two grandsons.
