About Brian Wilson

Brian Wilson is a nationally-known radio and television host, author, speaker and consultant.

In his 50-year broadcasting career, Brian hosted successful radio programs at Heritage stations in the nation’s largest markets, including New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Baltimore and Washington, DC. As morning drive host at WABC/New York, he was the first DJ to successfully transition to Talk Show Host literally overnight as the ABC powerhouse switched from its legendary Music Radio format to Talk Radio in 1982. In 1988, he was hired as “Head Zookeeper” of the highly successful Z-Morning Zoo at Z-100/New York.

Wilson also was a part of the up-start CNN, hosting the entertainment segment, “Take Two”. Later in a return to Atlanta, Brian not only worked in talk radio, he also hosted “Talk at Night”, a late night weekly live television talk program.

IN 1994, Brian founded Vacation Relief, Inc. (VRINK), using digital technology to become the first major-market talk radio host to fill-in for hosts around the country from his home studio. Over the next 20 years, Wilson hosted radio programs at Heritage stations in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, Denver, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Kansas City, Dallas-Fort Worth, Charlotte, Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, San Francisco and New York, as well as the nationally syndicated Art Bell, Jim Bohannon and Laura Ingraham shows.

Wilson is the author of three books – Watercolor Memories: The Story of Lauren, The Little Black Book on Whitewater, and A Media Guide for Market-Liberal Organizations.

Born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, Brian attended both public and private schools on the East Coast. He spent his college years at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Louisiana State University. He lives near Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia with his wife, journalist Cassie Wilson, and their golden retriever, Nellie.
