About The Karakul

Little is known of the author. His manuscripts were delivered to the publisher by riderless camel. Strange, cryptic instructions, or possibly threats, were included. His real name we do not know, but of karakul in general, the dictionary has this to say: "Karakul are a hearty species of sheep from the highlands of Turkmenistan. Their wool was traditionally used in the production of Persian rugs." It is possible the author sees himself as a ram of sorts: hear-headed, gruff, and argumentative, but ultimately protective of his flock, having great affection for the least small lamb. We think he lives in a cave. Or maybe Canada.
