About Eric Braun
Eric Braun (he/him/his) serves as an Associate Director of Student Services and Retention and Academic Advisor in the College of Education and Social Services (CESS) at UVM. In this role, Eric is the primary advisor for students who transfer to CESS from other colleges and universities, and for first-time first-year (FTFY) students in the Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, and Secondary Education programs. He serves as the primary advisor for CESS HCOL students in their first and second years. Eric co-designs and facilitates academic workshops, program assessment strategies, career-related events, and retention initiatives. Eric assists with the development of annual reports, high impact practices (HIPS), and policies and operational procedures. On an ad hoc basis he assists the Director of Student Services and Retention, and the Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, with student care support and incident management.
