About Roy Lessin
Roy Lessin has dedicated his life to ministry. For more than 50 years, he has been studying and teaching others what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit. His words have ministered to countless people over the years in a variety of personal and professional venues, most notably DaySpring Cards.
In 1971, Roy, along with three other Christian men, started a Christian publishing company. After its first year in business, the company created a Christmas card with this message: "When you get right down to it, the only thing that really matters is Jesus." That card was the beginning of DaySpring Cards--a global leader in Christian cards, gifts, and inspirational products, and a subsidiary of the world's largest greeting card company, Hallmark. Roy spent many years at DaySpring in various creative and editorial roles bringing hope and encouragement to the body of Christ. He continues to be involved there, serving in various pastoral roles, consulting, and helping to create new products.
Today, Roy is an active Bible teacher and serves on the Advisory Board of Art Set Apart, a creative disciplemaking ministry. They recently worked together to put his lifelong studies and teaching into a book called "The Holy Spirit Book: Discovering the Person, the Purpose, and the Power of the Promised Holy Spirit." This book uses a combination of Scriptures and real life stories to help others understand what the Bible says about who the Holy Spirit is, why He came, and how to receive His power.
