If These Walls Could Talk
By Akie DavisRenaldo's life turned good overnight - heck, it was better than good. It became great. One day he was hanging with Raheim and Terrell writing their hip-hop lives into a novel and the next his book went bestseller. He found himself autographing books and being interviewed on radio and TV. To top it off, he was spending every free minute loving Keisha - how he loved that sweet, sassy woman. He wanted her night and day and spent every cent he made spoiling her. The more he gave, the more she wanted, and the more he thought about sex. Finally, sex was all he thought about.
Then the good life went away. His money was almost gone; he hadn't written on his new novel in weeks. All he'd done was spend money and think about sex. Then Raheim was murdered...everything was falling apart.
Spooked, he called Dr. Miller - whenever his problems seemed bent on pushing him over the edge, Renaldo called his shrink. This time he was pretty sure that Keisha had another man. His publisher was calling every day. He was broke, and now his friend was gone. It was too much to handle alone.
Raheim and Monica had been having problems. They'd talk about starting a family but she'd go and abort his babies. After the last time, he'd had enough and kicked her out. When she came crying back, he left her sitting there crying and borrowed Terrell's car for a drive in the country.
