About Roger Rapoport

In 1974 Roger Rapoport began covering the Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapping of Patty Hearst for New Times Magazine. After she proceeded to rob a San Francisco bank with the SLA Rapoport became Patty Heart's fiancé Weed's ghost writer in a deal with Ballentine Books. The producer and coscreenwriter of three award winning feature films, Coming Up For Air, Pilot Error and Waterwalk, Roger Rapoport is the author of the Michael Moore biography Citizen Moore, Hillsdale: Greek Tragedy in the American Heartland and most recently Angle of Attack and GROUNDED with Captain Shem Malmquist (Lexographic). His articles appear in STAT News, Wired, the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Miami Herald, Detroit Free Press and many other publications. His stage adaptation of Peter Ferry's novel Old Heart opened at Detroit's Redford Theater in May.
