About Andrew M. Mecca
Andy Mecca, who received his master's and Doctorate in public health from the University of Califonia, Berkely, currently serves as President of the California mentor Foundation. He is the cofounder and Chief inspiration Officer of the Lifeplan Institute, which helps adolescents and young adults actively plan their ways to thrive now and in the future. A respected drug treatment professional for 40 years, mecca served as California's Drug Czar from 1991 to 1998. He was also the Chairman of the California Task Force on Self-Esteem, which released its final report in 1990.
